THE RACE

The "World's Toughest Rowing Race, Atlantic Campaigns Atlantic Challenge, is a gruelling 3000 mile unsupported ocean row across the Atlantic from La Gomera to Antigua. We'll be setting off on the 12th December 2023.

After years of unusual challenges and raising money for various charities, David Ferrier and Garry Hoyle are taking on "The Worlds Toughest Row" starting on the 12th December 2023 and raising money for our chosen charity The Great North Air Ambulance Service. The Challenge is an ocean rowing ‘race’ from the La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the West Indies, a distance of approximately 2,550 nautical miles (2,930 statute miles or 4,700 km) involving around 45 teams from around the world.
